Karate Baby

Sometimes I wonder if Steve (a black belt and former karate teacher) has already somehow started teaching our little guy Karate.... perhaps at night, while I am asleep and unaware..... yeah... I am pretty sure he has.... Little Robby practices all day :)
That's right-- Robby. This little boy will most likely be named Robert. And for now, we call him Robby.
Why Robert, you ask?
Well, lets see.....:
Grandpa Robert Toller (Steve's Dad's Dad)
Robert Toller (Steve's Dad)
Grandpa Harvey Robert Schwitzer (Steve's Mom's Dad)
Grandpa Robert Burtenshaw (Jenni's Mom's Dad)
Grandpa D. Robinson Kirkham, known as Bob Kirkham (Jenni's Dad's Dad)
Need I say more?

Random

I gave Steve a much needed hair cut the other day.

Man that was a lot of hair!

And here I am trying to find the best angle to display of my little growing belly... I finally decided to just put them all!

Washington D.C.

We had a great time in Washington D.C. last week. Thank you SOOO much to our friends Scott and Aleese (whom we haven't even seen for several years!) who were so willing to let us stay with them!!! They were the best host/hostess and we felt so comfortable there. It was fun for Steve to catch up with an old friend and fun for me to get to know them better. And of course their little son Barrick was adorable and got me so excited for my own little boy on his way! Thanks again Scott and Aleese!
We didn't see as many of the sights as we probably could have in the 5 days we were there. But, I could only walk and stand for so long before my pregnant self couldn't handle any more. It was exhausting but well worth it!
Here's what we did see:
Tuesday: Lincoln Memorial, Washington Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, World War II Memorial, Korean War Memorial. Then we spent the rest of the day in the Museum of American History.
Wednesday: We spent all day at Mount Vernon-- home of George Washington. We loved it. The weather was beautiful, the land was beautiful, and we learned a lot about Washington.
Thursday: We just had a short day that day because I was too worn out to do a full day of anything. We went to Arlington Cemetery where we rode a little tour bus to all the main sights of the cemetery. We went to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers and watched the change of the guards.
Friday: Our plan was to go to the Holocaust Memorial Museum and to the Botanic Gardens. Sadly we never made it to the Gardens because we were in the Holocaust Museum until it closed. It was a very eye opening experience. As Steve puts it, "That was absolutely horrible.... I am so glad we went." In other words.... it makes you sick, sad, depressed, and horrified.... but you learn so much, gain a deeper insight, and are impacted so deeply by learning more about this awful time in history.
Saturday we decided to just head home and not add anything more to our 7 1/2 hour drive.
It was a wonderful trip and we look forward to visiting and again and seeing more of the other sights we missed out on!

It's a...

BOY!!!

So, I am not really suprised. As much as I wanted a girl, I had a feeling it was going to be a boy. And I am so happy to know! And it DEFINITELY is a boy!!!! It was so fun to see him in there moving around and everything. They said he looked great. Everything seems to be going well. What a blessing!!! We are so grateful for our cute little boy and I feel like I know him better now :)

Thumbs up!

Happiness :)

We had our ultrasound today.
It's a..... BABY......
