Fess up... who did it????

So, I got in my car today, turned on my car, and looked up to start driving.... and this was the view that greeted me.....No, it's not a beautiful design created by the rain (although that is what I thought it was at first). It is a very cracked windshield.....

And this was found nearby.....

Somebody must really like me : )
So, I send out a hearty thank you to whoever left me this wonderful gift!

Whoops....

So, my sister in law Tagged me back in... oh... maybe February. Yet, though I filled in my answers, I never did post my answers to the tag. If I remember correctly, I got tagged for about 3 different things within 2 days, and thought it would be boring to post 3 tags in a row! So, now I'm finally whipping it out. Here it is:

Home Sweet Home... for the next 4 years!

Well, with MUCH help from some wonderful people out in Toledo, we have found a place to live! We will be spending the next 4 years of our lives living in this cute duplex. We will be on the bottom level, and our new friends Jake and Jenny will be upstairs (for the next year, until he finishes up his last year of med school). They are in our future ward out there, and we are excited to join them!
They sent me these great pictures of the duplex and the areas near by. Hope you guys don't mind me using your pictures on here.... do I need to get the copyright from you or something...??? ; ) We will be a few blocks from the Maumee River and Walbridge Park. Never heard of those before... but they sure are pretty!!!
Perty, ain't it???
We will be a mile from the zoo.
We will also be about a mile from Steve's real home for the next four years-- University of Toledo College of Medicine.
Well, it is starting to feel more real now.... I think we really are moving to Ohio!!!

Update

Just thought I'd update you all on all the things that have happened so quickly in the past week!

First of all-- the results from my scope. The doctor didn't find anything to worry about, so that's good. We didn't really think we'd find anything. Just being thorough and checking that off our list before we try to get pregnant again. He did say, though, that I am not ovulating regularly (can I say "ovulating" on a blog???hehe) and suggested I take Clomed..... which I'm not sure why, considering that I haven't ever had any trouble getting pregnant. Perhaps I'll pop out some twins or something........

Moving on....... thank you all for your kind words and congratulations on Steve's great accomplishment of getting in to medical school. We are very excited. We have been waiting (not so patiently on my part) with great anxiety to find out whether or not we'd be heading off to medical school this summer or not. And now we are finally accepted and everything seems to be falling into place so quickly!

Now brace yourselves all you fellow Utahns......
It is decided-- we will be moving to Ohio.....THE LAST WEEK OF JUNE!!!! That doesn't give us a whole lot of time, but we feel like we need to get out there and start getting settled into life there.

We have been blessed to have so many wonderful people ALREADY befriending us out there in Ohio, and we're not even there yet. I just have to say what a wonderful thing it is to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Of course the gospel itself is such an anchor in our lives. But it's not only that.... the members, the wards, the way things are organized. We have already had several people in the ward e-mail us or comment on our blog-- all of them welcoming us already and offering us help in any way.

It all started when Steve went out there for his interview back in March. They offer what they call a MedStay program where med students let you stay at their house while you are out there for your interview. Most people that were on the list were not going to be around when Steve went out there because it was their spring break. But, some gave him names of other people they thought might be around and might be willing to let him stay. Eventually, he contacted Steven and Sherri Zeimer who happened to be members of the ward out there and they were nice enough to let him go and stay with them. Before Steve went out to Ohio, I was looking at Steven and Sherri's blog to see who they were. To make a longer story shorter (maybe), I happened to make a connection! Sherri is the sister of Jon, who is the husband of Whitney, who is the sister of Cassidy, who is married to my brother Chris! Okay that sounds confusing....... lets just say, Steven Zeimer and my husband Steve are both married to girls whose brothers are married to one of the Kremin sisters (Cassidy and Whitney). Make more sense?? Anyway, the point is, we had a connection. Then when Steve was out there he met some other members of the ward. There, he made another connection. One guy,Jon, went on his mission to the area where my sister lives in Switzerland (which is where I was when Steve was at his interview) and knew some of the same people that I had met while I was out in Switzerland!!! Small world, eh? Well, lets just say that all of these things made us have a very good feeling about Ohio. And, those people he met have been helping us out ever since then.

What a blessing that is to me. I feel like I already have friends there. Like I'll have a little family away from my real family here in Utah. I am so much less nervous to pick up and move since we feel like people are waiting for us there. Thank you to our future Toledo freinds and ward members. You are making this so much easier for us : ) We are excited to join you.

Well.....

It seems the clouds are thinning...

Thanks to all who voted on where they thought we'd end up for medical school.

The Poll is now closed, and votes are tallied up!

There were:

4 votes for the University of Texas in Galveston, Texas

6 votes for the University of West Virginia in Morgantown, West Virginia

16 votes for University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio and

2 votes for Nowhere (I'm going to assume that those 2 votes were from people that just couldn't stand to see us leave... not people that didn't have any faith in Steve's ability to get in....)

So..... we were notified today that Steve has been accepted to Medical School!

We are going to...........................

UT.......................no... that doesn't stand for Utah.

or for University of Texas....................................

HOLY TOLEDO!!!!! WE'RE GOING TO OHIO!!! UNIVERSITY OF TOLEDO!

So, good job to all you who voted correctly (which was the majority of you) and most of all CONGRATULATIONS TO

(future) DOCTOR STEVE TOLLER!!!!

We aren't sure yet when we will move. School starts in August, so that only gives us a few months to get out there, get settled, and get me a job before tuition is due! (Supposedly if I have a full time job out there by the time we pay tuition, we will be considered instate and will get to pay instate tuition... or something like that....) Of course we'll keep everyone up to date as we make decisions and figure things out.

Going Under the Knife

Okay, so there weren't actually any knives involved (that I know of). On Thursday, I had a little something called a diagnostic hysteroscopy and dilation and curettage done. I am not sure how detailed I should get here on this blog, but if you want to know what that entails, click the link.

So, it kind of reminded me a of a movie... you know, the person is laying on the bed thing and they roll them into the surgery room-- bright lights above shining in your eyes, 6 doctors and nurses all around you, an IV attatched to your hand.

Anyway, they put me completely out with anesthetics. Such a weird thing... one minute I'm laying there in the surgery room, listening to the doctors talk and wondering what the next step is.

Then, I start to feel a little dizzy, and next thing I know I'm waking up in a different room with a painting of sailboats on the wall. The nurse offered me a drink and got me some water with a straw.

I'm sitting there drinking my water and talking to my mom and telling her how the first thing I remember was that painting of sailboats on the wall.....wait.... where'd the painting go???? When did I get in THIS room???? And when did my mom show up? Who knows.... I thought I was completely awake, but apparently there were a few glitches.....

Anyway, that was my fun day.

I couldn't help but imagine what it must be like to be at the hospital, ready to go into labor, ready to have a baby. As they were rolling me down the hall before, I was laying there in my gown, with an IV in my hand. I remembered everyone saying how one of the worst parts of labor is the stupid IV they keep in your hand. My thoughts turned to my friends Lori and Stephanie, who both just had their babies within the past week. As I was thinking of that, the nurse asked "Are you getting nervous?" I told her, "No, I was actually just thinking how two of my friends have gone into labor in the past week and had their babies, and how all I get for now is this....surgery." A little depressing.

So, since everyone else gets to post what they left the hospital with, here's mine:

Isn't he cute? He was about 3 pounds and 14 inches long. LOTS of hair! I think he looks more like his dad for sure....

Somewhat of an obsession......

Okay, it's out in the open now. I, Jenni Toller, am in love with Edw--- I mean, the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. I hope the movie does the book justice. It is looking promising.

Tennis

Let me start out by confessing that I am an extrememly UNathletic person! My family (as in my siblings and I) are all more musical and artsy... and not so athletically talented. I mean, we watch basketball and my dad and brothers are actually really into PLAYING basketball....... on the PS3. But other than that.... lets just say we get more into Food Network Challenges than we do the Superbowl..... Ok, ok... so maybe we are a little strange. But, hey. Not everyone is born with athletic talent. And, I for one, must have been absent on the day God handed out athletic abilities. Perhaps I was in line waiting to get some gourmet heaven food or something.....

Anyway, a couple weeks ago Steve decided he wanted to teach me
to play tennis. There is a big park up the street from us with tennis courts. We've now "played" three times and I actually kind of like it! I can't decide if I am actually better at this than most other sports I've attempted, or if it's just the fact that I am playing with someone else who also doesn't really know what he's doing..... but either way, I am actually enjoying it. I decided I don't like playing team sports.... because I am so horrible and end up ruining it for everyone else.

And I especially don't like playing team sports with people who:

1)are very good at the sport
2)are very competitive and/or
3)are wearing hot pink short shorts
Because:

1)I am very not good at sports, so it just accentuates my.... un...good...ness......
2)When people are competitve, they get really into it and yell.... and when people yell at me... I usually end up crying
3)I'm not sure why..... but, don't you think it would be weird to play a sport with someone wearing hot pink short shorts? I dunno.... just think about......

Anyway, tennis is fun and I am enjoying it for now.

Steve practicing his backhand.

The serve.

And me playing.......

Daniel Johns... I mean Kirkham

My 13 year old brother Daniel was in the talent show at his school a couple weeks ago. He and a friend of his have been jamming together and are trying to start their own band. For the talent show, they performed "The Greatest View" by Silverchair (Daniel Johns). Daniel (my bro) was on the guitar and vocals and did so awesome!!!! We were all so proud of him.

He might be mad at me for posting this video on here... but until then....check it out!!! Click the video below.... It's fun.... do it..... (Make sure you pause the music playing on my playlist first....)

I am very into music-- singing, etc.-- so I am excited to see my little brother starting into the performing scene already. He is also in the band at school (something I did all through junior high and highschool). I also play the guitar a VERY LITTLE bit. Nothing close to Daniel who listens to a song, picks up his guitar and figures out how to play the song on his own!!!! He is pretty much a musical genius.

I am so proud of my little bro!

Daniel..... YOU ROCK!!!
